Introduction:

Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), the only survivor of the space freighter Nostromo, is rescued and revived after drifting for fifty-seven years in hypersleep. At an interview before a panel of executives from her employer, the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, her testimony regarding the Alien is met with extreme skepticism as no physical evidence of the creature survived the destruction of the Nostromo. Ripley loses her space flight license as a result of her “questionable judgment” and learns that LV-426, the planetoid where her crew first encountered the Alien eggs, is now home to a terraforming colony. Ripley is visited by Weyland-Yutani representative Carter Burke (Paul Reiser) and Lieutenant Gorman (William Hope) of the Colonial Marines, who inform her that contact has been lost with the colony on LV-426. The company is dispatching Burke and a unit of marines to investigate, and offers to restore Ripley’s flight status and grant her a commission as a lieutenant if she will accompany them as a consultant. Traumatized by her previous encounter with the Alien, Ripley initially refuses to join, but accepts when she realizes that the mission will allow her to face her fears. Arriving aboard the warship Sulaco she is introduced to the Colonial Marines, including Sergeant Apone (Al Matthews), Corporal Hicks (Michael Biehn), Privates Vasquez (Jenette Goldstein) and Hudson (Bill Paxton), and the android Bishop (Lance Henriksen), towards whom Ripley is initially hostile due to her previous experience with the android Ash aboard the Nostromo.

Introduction:

Following Jigsaw’s grisly demise, Mark Hoffman, the final apprentice to the serial killer is deigned a hero. Meanwhile, Agent Strahm is tested and puts the pieces together. While Strahm realizes that Hoffman is helping Jigsaw, five seemingly unconnected people face a horrible lesson about teamwork.

Strahm follows all the leads he can get off Hoffman, including the death of his sister and why he joined Jigsaw. Hoffman and Strahm circle each other until it boils down to a gruesome and bone-crushing finale.

Introduction:

During the autopsy of John Kramer, the coroner finds a tape inside his stomach and calls Detective Hoffman. Meanwhile, the police find Detective Kerry dead and the SWAT Commander Rigg is absolutely traumatized with the tortured corpse of Kerry and obsessed to save Detective Eric Matthews that has been missing for six months; however Hoffman asks him to take vacations and leave the case. The FBI agents Strahm and Perez join Hoffman’s team to investigate the legacy of Jigsaw. However, Rigg is abducted and forced to participate in another sick game to save Eric’s life.

Introduction:

Photographer Adam Faulkner (Leigh Whannell) awakens in a bathtub full of water, at one end of a grimy and disused bathroom. At the other end is Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes); both men are chained by the ankle to the plumbing pipes. A corpse holding a revolver and a microcassette recorder lies on the floor between them. Lawrence and Adam each discover tapes in their pockets labeled “Play Me”. From these tapes, Adam is told that he must escape the bathroom, while Lawrence is told that he must kill Adam before six o’clock, or else his wife and daughter will be killed and he will be left to die where he sits. They find Hacksaws, though neither is sharp enough to cut through the chains. Adam breaks his and throws it away in frustration. Lawrence realizes that the saws are not meant for the chains, but instead for their feet.

Lawrence determines that their captor is the Jigsaw Killer, so named due to his practice of cutting pieces of skin in the shape of a jigsaw puzzle piece from his victims. The name is a misnomer, says Lawrence, as he never directly murders anyone and his intentions are for his victims to survive with a better appreciation of life. In a series of flashbacks of his previous victims are presented, including his only known survivor up to that point, a highly traumatized heroin addict named Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith). She believes that her experience in the test, in which she risked having her jaws ripped apart, has made her a better person.

Alien 4 Resurrection

Introduction:

Alien Resurrection takes place 200 years after Alien 3. Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) has been cloned on the outer space military science vessel USM Auriga using “blood samples from Fiorina ‘Fury’ 161, on ice.” The United Systems Military wants to extract the Alien queen embryo that was implanted in her before her death in Alien 3. After successful extraction of the embryo, the scientists decide to keep the Ripley clone alive for further study. They raise the Alien queen and collect her eggs for further use. As a result of the cloning process, during which Ripley’s DNA was mixed with the Alien’s, she has developed abilities including enhanced strength and reflexes, acidic blood, and an empathic link with the Aliens.

The Betty, a ship full of mercenaries, arrives delivering several kidnapped humans in hypersleep. The military scientists use them as hosts for the Alien facehuggers, raising several adult Aliens for study. The mercenaries encounter Ripley, and their youngest member Call (Winona Ryder) recognizes her name. She attempts to kill Ripley, believing she may be used to create more Aliens. Call is too late; the adult Aliens have already been created and quickly escape their confinement, damaging the ship and killing most of its crew. Dr. Wren (J. E. Freeman), one of the ship’s scientists, reveals that the Auriga’s default command in an emergency situation is to return to Earth. Realizing that this will unleash the Aliens on Earth, Ripley, the mercenaries, Wren, a marine named DiStephano (Raymond Cruz), and a surviving Alien host, Purvis (Leland Orser), attempt to escape on the Betty and destroy the Auriga.

Alien 3

Introduction:

Following the events in Aliens, the Colonial Marine spaceship Sulaco experiences an onboard fire and launches an escape pod containing Ellen Ripley, Newt, Hicks, and the damaged android Bishop who are all in cryonic stasis. The pod then crashes on Fiorina ‘Fury’ 161, a foundry facility and penal colony inhabited by all-male former inmates with “double-Y” chromosome patterns. As the inmates recover the pod and its passengers, an Alien facehugger is seen approaching their dog. Ripley is taken in and awakened by Clemens (Charles Dance), the facility’s doctor, and learns that she is the only survivor of the crash. Many of the ex-inmates have embraced an apocalyptic, millenarian religion which forbids sexual relations, and Ripley is warned that her presence among them may have extremely disturbing effects.

Suspicious of what caused the escape pod to jettison and what killed her companions, Ripley requests that Clemens perform an autopsy on Newt. She fears that Newt may be carrying an Alien embryo in her body, though she does not share this information. No embryo is found in Newt’s body and it appears she simply died in the crash, however, the colony’s warden (Andrews) becomes increasingly angered that Ripley’s unusual behavior is agitating the prisoners. They perform a funeral for Newt and Hicks in which their bodies are cremated in the facility’s gigantic furnace. In another part of the facility the dog goes into convulsions and an Alien erupts from its body. The Alien soon begins to attack members of the colony, killing several and returning one man to his former insane state. To get answers, Ripley recovers and reactivates the damaged android Bishop, who reveals that there was an Alien on the Sulaco and that it came with them to Fiorina in the escape pod. She then informs Andrews of her previous encounters with the Aliens and suggests that the group hunt it down. However, Andrews does not believe her story and also informs her that there are no weapons in the facility anyway. Their only hope of protection is the rescue ship being sent for Ripley by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

Acolytes

Introduction / Sypnosis:

The three teenagers, exhume a body that was witnessed being buried by a serial killer (unknown to them at the time). After a failed attempt at contacting the police, they blackmail the serial killer into killing a bully who was recently released from jail and attacked one of the boys.

The film contains some german text: Die Erpresser (the blackmailer) and Dienstag (Tuesday). In the manhunt scene, the teenagers fight back against Ian and Mark and Mark eventually beats Gary to death with a rock. It is suggested earlier in the film that Mark and James were sexually abused by Gary, and is confirmed at the conclusion of the manhunt scene.
